Both Kelly and I wish we could be near all our family and friends and that everyone could share in watching our daughter grow up, but with the people we care about spread all over the country, and with our future plans still up-in-the-air, we know how difficult it is to stay in touch. We've experienced this from the other side, treasuring the precious moments we get to spend with Kelly's niece Emma and my nephew Owen, but always wishing we had more time together. And while it makes me feel old saying it, technology has really helped us to feel connected with our family living far away--just a few days ago we watched Owen on video chat taking some of his first few steps. So now, we are taking a cue from Kelly's brother and sister-in-law, (who have maintained a wonderful blog documenting their little one growing up much too fast) creating this blog to share with you.
What will this blog look like? We don't really know. It will undoubtedly contain stories, photos, and other narcissistic ramblings about how special our daughter is. But we are excited to discover just what this journey has to offer.
We only know one thing for sure - we are in for the ride of our lives.
So glad you will be doing this! We can't wait to keep up with her life (oh, and yours too!)
