Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was special for Audrey because she was able to share it with family. Nana was in town for a week long visit and Alison, Audrey's first-cousin, once removed (if the Wikipedia article defining cousins is to be believed), and her husband Chris came down from D.C. for the day.

The morning was divided between playing with presents, eating breakfast, and going to the park. We finally got around to dying eggs shortly after Allison and Chris arrived - a little late for the Easter bunny to hide, but we had the dye kit and we had too many eggs not to do it.

The egg dying was serious business, as evident by Allison's outstretched tongue. Audrey had fun dropping the eggs into the different colors - good thing they were hard boiled.

The highlight of Audrey's day was dessert where she dug into one of the cupcakes she helped decorate. We thought she was having a tough time getting started, taking the unconventional approach of eating from the bottom, but in hindsight, she was probably just saving the best for last.
