Our little girl had not one, but two Easter bunny events this year. A few weeks ago she got all dolled up for one of Kelly's mothers group events where she met skinny bunny. She loved skinny head bunny. She followed him everywhere, trying to hug him wherever he went.
The day before Easter, the weather was a little colder, but we still made it to the official Leonardtown Easter egg hunt. Aside from the few people smoking while in line for the 0-2 year old girls egg hunt (Really? Can't you wait for the two minutes it takes for the parents to grab all the eggs?), we had a great time! This time we met the fat head Easter bunny and Audrey loved him equally well. She might be scared of the cows at the petting zoo, but this bug-eyed fluffy bunny with nasty, big, pointy teeth? Oh yeah, bring him on.
The highlight of the day, though, was the Leonardtown volunteer fire department fire engine. They gave Audrey a hat and let her "drive" it all by herself. She was a bit sad when it was time for the next kid to drive. No matter though, a few minutes after we were through the engine must have been sent out on a call because it left with lights-a-flashin' and sirens-a-blarin'. Serves those other kids right for taking her spot!

ReplyDeleteWhat is it about the Steffen/Santoki/Fellows kids and Easter bunnies? They ALL love them! It was great to spend Easter with Audrey!
ReplyDeleteAudrey is braver than Emma. Crazy-eye Easter bunny here in Hardin Co is NOT on the list for her. We don't even talk about it! Go Audrey you brave little girl!!!
ReplyDeleteShe was truly serious about the easter egg hunt! Looks like she was planning her strategy. We are home now. Enjoying the updates on Audrey and Emma.
