I saw this on another blog and thought it would be a good thing to do for Audrey's 19 month birthday. It's hard to believe that she is now closer to 2 than 1. So what does a 19 month old do all day? Well here are the pictures to tell the story:
She's been waking up earlier and earlier. The leisurely 8:30 mornings have been replaced with 6:50 calls for 'mama'. Good thing she looks cute in the morning!
A quick diaper change and we're ready for breakfast.
She devoured her eggs so fast I didn't have time to get a picture. The kiwi was enjoyed a little slower. We also had a little bit of applesauce so we could get in her flouride medicine.
Getting in the car seat so we could head out to the library.
Library story time is on a 6 week hiatus until summer programming begins. I decided to go there anyway so Audrey could play with the puzzles while I picked out some new books for us. They had a new toy there that she LOVED - the fisher-price doodle sketch.
After the library we went to the grocery store. Audrey likes the carts with the drink holder for her water bottle.
This is one of her favorite things to do at home while we're working in the kitchen. She likes to sit in the corner with all the tupperware or metal bowls and her balls. The more bowls the better.
Then it was time for a delicious lunch of tofu, mixed veggies and strawberries (picked at a farm this past Saturday!).
We don't have any pictures of nap time. Unfortunately this was one of those days when she just didn't want to nap. We got about 45 minutes today. Since we had some extra time this afternoon, I decided to go for a jog with Audrey.
She likes the jogging stroller as long as there is a snack involved. It also helps that the neighborhood we run in is still under construction so there are lots of BIG trucks driving by all the time.
After the run, Audrey had fun torturing (I mean playing) with the cats. She kept offering some of her delicious 'ball stew' to them but they weren't too interested.
We had some chicken squares and broccoli shortly after 'dada' got home.
Then it was time to get some serious play time in after dinner to burn off that extra energy.
It was a bath night so we spent the time practicing her 1, 2, 3's. Audrey can now count to 10 on her own (a video will be coming shortly!). She also is getting really good at counting things without us prompting her - like yesterday when she counted three ants in the kitchen before we went in to sweep them up...AGAIN. (We've been battling ants in the house now for a few days.)
And then of course we need to brush our teeth before bed!
Three books with mom and dad and she is now peacefully sleeping. And that is how a 19 month old spends her day!
