Nacho Ordinary First Birthday

What can you do when your baby is born on Cinco de Mayo? Or rather, how can you not throw a little fiesta when your baby is born on Cinco de Mayo? We had a wonderful day filled with family and friends. Here are some of the pictures from the big day.

First Steps

Oh my. This video is actually from April 23. I was watching her walk around tonight and realized that we never even got this video up on the blog. Even after these first steps were made she still preferred crawling. And why wouldn't she - she was wicked fast on her hands and knees. But every day she would perfect her steps a little more as she was coaxed to walk to one of our arms (and she LOVED walking to Audrey's arms!). It has been amazing to see the last week how she is venturing out walking on her own more and more. Give it a few more weeks and I think it will be her main mode of transportation. And while she is definitely the cutest little walker, I can't help but be a little sad about saying goodbye to my little speed crawler.

May 2nd

May 1st photos didn't happen yesterday. The craziness of putting this house back together (literally) along with planning for a certain someone's first birthday party thrown together with some wicked colds, beach naturalist training, a half marathon, and a broken computer have made blog posts challenging. So we apologize for the lack of updates. I do have a fabulous video of the above mentioned someone's first steps - super cool and we promise to share it soon. But in the meantime, we just have some shots of the girls getting ready this morning. I can only imagine what this will look like in 10 years but for now, the beauty routine is fairly simple :)
